AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton is giving birth to her third child soon. The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in London in the early stages of labor. Kensington Palace confirmed the news on Monday, April 23.
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labor," so the statement read. "The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."
As previously reported, Kensington Palace will issue a statement regarding the baby's sex, weight and time of birth once the Duchess gives birth to her third child. However, if the birth happens in the middle of the night, the palace will not make any announcement before 9 A.M. U.K. time. The name of the baby will be announced when the royal couple returns to Apartment 1A of Kensington Palace.
The baby will be fifth in line to the throne, behind Prince Charles, Prince William, four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte.
Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess are expecting their third child back in September. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child," the palace announced in a statement. "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
As with her other two pregnancies, Kate suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum or acute morning sickness. She was being cared for at the royal couple's apartment in London's Kensington Palace.
Kate debuted her baby bump when she attended a reception at Buckingham Palace in honor of World Mental Health Day, marking her first appearance since the pregnancy announcement. She made her last royal engagement before going on maternity leave on March 22.
