iHeartRadio Music Awards 2018: Eminem Calls Out NRA During Performance

The Detroit rapper uses his 'Nowhere Fast' performance at the award show to address gun control and slam the NRA.

AceShowbiz - Eminem used his performance at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards to address gun control and slam the NRA. The rapper performed "Nowhere Fast" at the award show, which was held at The Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 11.

Em began his performance with a special verse, slamming the organization. "This whole country is going nuts/ And the NRA is in our way/ They hold the strings, they control the puppet," he rapped. "They threaten to take away donor bucks so they know the government won't do nothing and no one is budging/ Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons/ They love their guns more than our children."

Kehlani then joined the rapper onstage, singing the chorus of the song. He was also accompanied by a band and string players. The two musicians shared a warm hug after the performance.

Elsewhere at the event, Bon Jovi brought the audience back to the past by performing classics like "It's My Life" and "You Give Love a Bad Name". Their performance was introduced by Olympian Shaun White. After the performance, the legendary rock band was honored with iHeartRadio Icon Award.

Charlie Puth, who debuted new curly hair at the event, also hit the stage that night. Charlie kept things casual while belting out "How Long", sporting a white "OH CHARLIE" crew neck. He teamed it with light gray pants. During his performance, he could be seen casually shaking hands with the audience as he hit every high note on the song.

N.E.R.D closed the event, which was hosted by DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin, by performing a rendition of their hit song "Lemon". A group of glitter-drenched dancers accompanied them onstage, and in the middle of the performance, their frequent collaborator Mette Towley made her way to the stage. She stole the show by showing off her dance moves.
