Both ladies believe that Arie will choose them at the final rose ceremony, but only one will walk away with an engagement ring on her finger.

AceShowbiz - This is the moment of truth for Becca and Lauren. The final two ladies in season 22 of "The Bachelor" would find out who Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s heart was for as the ABC dating show aired its finale for this current season on Monday, March 5.

In the episode, Arie took the ladies to Peru to introduce them to his family. Each lady would be given one-on-one date with the race car driver/realtor for the last time, before he would make a final decision at the last rose ceremony where one lady would be sent home heartbroken, while the other hopefully would get a proposal.

First to meet Arie's family was Lauren, who was visibly nervous. Lauren couldn't help crying at the thought of losing Arie while having a conversation with his mother. Meanwhile, Arie revealed that he's frustrated that he had to constantly reassure Lauren that he loved her, prompting his family to think that they might be not open to each other just yet. However, it seemed like Arie's family approved their relationship, noting that the pair had an obvious chemistry.

Becca came out to be less nervous than Lauren. She had an easygoing conversation with Arie's mother. However, she was taken aback when Arie's father said he was fine if his son ended up with either woman. Becca told camera that the fact that Lauren was still around "scares the s**t" out of her.

The last decision was definitely in the hand of Arie, who appeared to be uncertain. He felt that it would make more sense if he chose Becca, but he admitted that he had an "undeniable" love for Lauren.

As for their one-on-one date, Arie and Lauren opted for a romantic stroll around the mountain in Machu Picchu. Lauren, who previously lacked confidence, told Arie that meeting his family somehow boosted her confidence. Later that night, she said to Arie that she was more ready to spend her life with him. They further talked about the future and the pair even discussed about having kids together.

Arie and Becca had an easygoing one-on-one date. He admitted that he felt conflicted, though he was unsure why. Becca was nervous, but she believed that they shared the same feelings as she read him a touching and emotional letter.

The highly-anticipated moment finally came. With the help from Neil Lane, Arie opted for a massive, cushion-cut engagement ring which he would put on the finger of either Becca or Lauren. Lauren, who looked stunning in a plunging silver sequin dress, got off the car first. Although she looked beautiful and all, unfortunately, it didn't change Arie's decision as he told her that something held him from committing to her. Crushed, she left after wishing him the best.

Becca later arrived in a beautiful black strapless dress. She confessed her love to the Bachelor, who responded by getting down on his knee and showing her the gorgeous ring. Without any doubt, Becca accepted Arie's proposal. Congratulations to the new couple!

While things ended happily for Becca, rumors had said that Arie later had a change of heart. It was previously reported that he dumped the woman he proposed to at season 22 finale for the runner-up. Multiple sources further stated that he called off his engagement to the current season's winner more than a month after filming wrapped. Arie and the runner-up are now allegedly together as an item.

Whether or not the rumors hold some truth, Bachelor Nation will find out in "After the Final Rose", in which the other contestants are planning to "grill" Arie over the shocking twist. "After the Final Rose" airs on Tuesday, March 6 on ABC.
