'Call Me by Your Name' wins the Best Adapted Screenplay thanks to the script by James Ivory, while Jordan Peele-written 'Get Out' is the winner of Best Original Screenplay.

AceShowbiz - "Coco", a movie hailing from Walt Disney Co's Pixar Animation Studios, won one of the biggest prizes at the 2018 Academy Awards, which was held on Sunday, March 4 at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. The movie which followed the adventure into the land of the dead was announced as the winner of Best Animated Feature at the awards-giving event.
The award marked the second Oscar for director Lee Unkrich, who previously won the category for "Toy Story 3". The director thanked all the people of Mexico, adding, " 'Coco' would not exist without your endlessly beautiful culture and traditions. With 'Coco', we tried to take a step forward toward a world where all children can grow up seeing characters in movies that look and talk and live like they do. Marginalized people deserve to feel like they belong. Representation matters."

Meanwhile, "Blade Runner 2049" bested the likes of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", "Kong: Skull Island", "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and "War for the Planet of the Apes" in Visual Effects category. Starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, the dystopian movie was directed by Quebec director Denis Villeneuve.

"Dunkirk" continued to shine that night as the Christopher Nolan-directed movie nabbed another prize. In addition to winning Best Sound Editing and Sound Mixing, the movie was honored with a trophy for Best Film Editing. Also among the winners was "Heaven Is a Traffic Jam on the 405". Directed by Frank Stiefel, the documentary won a trophy in Best Documentary Short category.
