AceShowbiz - %cZachary Levi% is hoping to have a Wonder Woman cameo in his upcoming movie "Shazam". The 37-year-old actor, who will play the titular DC superhero, has revealed that having %cGal Gadot% appearing as the badass Amazonian princess in his movie "would be really awesome."
While it's unlikely the movie is going to fit into the rest of the films in the DC Extended Universe, cameos are still possible and the superhero meeting Wonder Woman would be great. Asked by Entertainment Tonight for his thoughts on the idea, Levi responded enthusiastically as he's hoping a cameo to happen.
He said he's wanting to have a cameo from "Wonder Woman, because she's awesome." He went on saying, "I think getting a cameo from anybody would be super cool, but I just think Gal Gadot is so effervescent. She has such a charm. And she seems like a really cool broad. Like, she was in the Israeli army. She's a mom."
"And I'm like, 'You seem like you're grounded and cool, and you're Wonder Woman, and you rock,' " he continued praising the "Justice League" actress. "And I think it would be really funny to have the 14-year-old Billy Batson inside of Shazam that's really awkward around this beautiful Amazonian," he added. "I just think that would be really awesome."
When speaking to the news outlet, Levi also expressed his excitement in playing the titular superhero, who, by speaking the magic word "SHAZAM" (acronym of six "immortal elders" Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury), can transform himself into a costumed adult with the powers of superhuman strength, speed, flight and other abilities.
"I can't tell you much, as you can probably imagine, but what I can say is I am just out of my mind excited!" he shared. "I get to do my version of 'Big', basically. It's like 'Superman' meets 'Big', and that's just so fun," he gushed. "I get to be a superhero that's excited about being a superhero, and I think that's refreshing. It's not glum, and like, 'Oh, I have to save the world again.' So I think it's all really gravy."
"Shazam" is expected to start filming next month with David F. Sandberg serving behind the lens. Darren Lemke and Henry Gayden provide the screenplay. Set to arrive in theaters across the United State on April 5 next year, the film also stars %cMark Strong%, %cGrace Fulton%, %cAsher Angel%, %cJack Dylan Grazer%, %cIan Chen%, %cJovan Armand% and %cCooper Andrews%.
