Prince Harry and Barack Obama are undoubtedly best friend goals. However, Harry may not be able to invite the former POTUS to his and Meghan Markle's royal wedding this upcoming May, and it reportedly has something to do with President Donald Trump.

According to The Sun, Harry's desire to invite Obama and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama to the wedding makes the whole U.K. government worry. They worry that it may cause tension and offend Trump if his predecessor snags an invite when he does not.

"Harry has made it clear he wants the Obamas at the wedding, so it's causing a lot of nervousness," a source reveals to the site. "Trump could react very badly if the Obamas get to a Royal wedding before he has had a chance to meet the Queen."

"Conversations are ongoing about and ministers will eventually have to decide. If the PM lays down the law, Harry will just have to suck it up," the source continues.

However, the Government only has a consultative role in this case as the wedding is not a state occasion. Buckingham Palace fully draws the guest list instead of Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

Harry and Barack recently showed off their close friendship while watching a wheelchair basketball match between the U.S. and France at the Invictus Games in Toronto on September 29. "They were both chatting to the two ladies next to me. I think they're both nurses in Germany," financial analyst Jessica Stickle, who also joined the pair in the front row, shared. "Harry and Barack were laughing a lot with each other and seemed like best buds. They were cheering and Barack was giving the thumbs up so he seemed really happy with the result."

It may be upsetting for Harry if one of his best friends won't be able to be present at his special day. Harry and Meghan will hold their wedding on May 19, 2018 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
