AceShowbiz - Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles posed together in an elevator for the first time since his epic fight with Solange Knowles back in 2014. The couple was leaving the Angelika Film Center in N.Y.C. on Monday, December 4, where they had a private viewing of Woody Allen's movie "Wonder Wheel", when they were asked for photos by paparazzi.
As seen in a video that surfaced online, Jay and Bey, accompanied by one hunky bodyguard, were about to made their way out of the elevator to the ground floor when they were surrounded by the photo-hungry paparazzi. The hip-hop star, along with his wife, was then seen getting back to the elevator and telling them to "hurry up, come get" the photos.
The Hollywood power couple was celebrating the rapper's 48th birthday that evening. The birthday honoree rocked a wine-toned suit with a white tee, gold chains and white sneakers for the movie date. Bey, meanwhile, opted for a patterned black-and-yellow Versace dress with sheer blue floral inlay coordinated with her navy fur coat. The mother of three teamed her look with a pair of Krewe sunglasses and edgy ankle strap heels.
A source said that Bey rented out the theater for the private viewing with a number of close pals. Missing from the Monday elevator ride was Bey's sister Solange, who attacked Jay during the infamous post-Met Gala elevator spat at the Standard Hotel three years ago.
Jay spoke about the incident for the first time after three years in an August interview with Rap Radar, "We had one disagreement ever. Before and after we've been cool," the rapper said to hosts Elliott Wilson and Brian "B.Dot" Miller at the time. "She's like my sister. I will protect her. That's my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period." He noted, "We've always had a great relationship."
