AceShowbiz - After announcing her debut solo album in May, Camila Cabello has finally revealed the release date as well as the cover art for the effort. The "Havana" songstress took to Instagram on December 5 to share the news to her fans, known as Camilizers.
The art finds Camila rocking floral outfits while opening her legs, looking straight at the camera. "To my Camilizers... My debut album is finally finished, now I'm trying to steady my heartbeat!!" she captioned it. "All of these songs have special memories behind them, and I'm not going lie. It feels emotional letting them go, feels like the end of a chapter..."
She then revealed that she decided to change the album title to "Camila" as she thought that the album marked the end of a chapter in her life. "I decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended," she continued. "It started with somebody else's story. It ended with me finding my way back to myself."
Camila concluded her post by announcing that the effort would be available for pre-order on Thursday, December 7. The album itself is due out on January 12. "My album is gonna be available for pre-order this Thursday," she wrote, adding a butterfly emoji. "And I'm putting out two instant grat tracks with it... One is called 'Never Be the Same' and one is called 'Real Friends'. It's in your hands January 12."
Her debut solo album aside, Camila was recently presented with Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music, which was held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 30. The former Fifth Harmony member thanked her mom during her acceptance speech.
"The only reason I'm standing on this stage and on this soil in this country is because of one woman, my mom.. thank you to the woman of my life," she said. "I have the most incredible example of what it means to be a woman.. This is for my mom."
