Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander have officially got married. The 40-year-old actor and the 29-year-old actress tied the knot over the weekend in Ibiza, confirmed sources to PEOPLE. The couple reportedly exchanged vows at the luxurious La Granja farmstead resort surrounded by family and friends.

The confirmation comes on the heels of Michael and Alicia both being pictured sporting wedding bands on their ring fingers on Sunday, October 15. In some photos obtained by Daily Mail, the couple was seen showing off their wedding rings while enjoying what looked like a "post-wedding" brunch on the idyllic island.

Dressed in a loose blue-and-white print dress with frill detailing, Alicia had her brown hair worn in two braids and tied back in a messy low bun. The Swedish-born actress appeared fresh-faced, with a pair of oversized sunglasses shielding her eyes. She had a pair of white woven slip-on shoes completing her look.

As for Michael, he looked relaxed in a white tank top underneath his Hawaiian print shirt, which he left unbuttoned. Pairing them with blue shorts and wearing what looked like a tribal pendant necklace, the Irish-German actor could be seen at one point sharing a passionate kiss with the "Tulip Fever" actress.

Prior to the ceremony, the pair were spotted hanging out with friends and family on the Mediterranean island on Friday. The "Assassin's Creed" actor showed off his abs in an unbuttoned shirt and a pair of shorts, while the "Tomb Raider" star wore a pair of heart sunglasses which matched her white, summery dress.

Michael and Alicia had been dating since December 2014 and rarely talk about their relationship. They met on the set of their romantic period drama "The Light Between Oceans", which was based on the 2012 novel of the same name by M.L. Stedman. The hunky actor was previously linked to actress Nicole Beharie, whom he worked together with on Steve McQueen's 2011 drama "Shame".
