Ahead of its season 2 premiere, "Luke Cage" offers a first-look photo of the new season. Coming via Entertainment Weekly, the new photo features not only the bulletproof man, but also Danny Rand a.k.a. Marvel's Iron Fist (Finn Jones), who is seen standing in front of Mike Colter's Luke.
The two of the four Marvel's The Defenders are seemingly in a serious discussion as the kid with the glowing fist is seen frowning at Luke. Both Netflix and Marvel are keeping details of Danny's involvement on the sophomore season of "Luke Cage" under wraps.

The two New York street-level heroes were last seen together on "Marvel's The Defenders", fighting against Sigourney Weaver's Alexandra alongside Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Marvel's Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). [SPOILER ALERT!] At the end of the 8-part series, the duo parted ways. Luke returned to Harlem while Danny, who finally donned his yellow-and-green tracksuit, vowed to help protect New York City from danger in the dark hours of night.
Fans assume that the reunion between the pair will have something to do with Misty Knight (Simone Missick). Another possibility is that a new threat is coming, leading them to join forces once again.
"Luke Cage" centers on the titular hero described as a wrongly imprisoned man who gains superpowers in the form of unbreakable skin and superhuman strength by a sabotaged experiment. The character debuted on "Marvel's Jessica Jones" in 2015 before getting his own solo series in 2016.
Colter said the sophomore season, which is set to arrive sometime in 2018, would explore Luke's public identity. "It's something that we'll explore in the 'Defenders' and hopefully in season 2 of 'Cage' which I start very soon," he said, adding, "It's very different. He's out. People know what he looks like. He's not in any kind of disguise."
Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Claire Temple and Lucy Liu reportedly lands a role in the second season.
