Changmin and U-Know Yunho have been together as the members of TVXQ for more than 10 years, even after Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu left the group in 2009. But there have been moments when Changmin contemplated being a member of a different popular group.
Appearing as a guest along with Yunho in the October 5 episode of "Happy Together 3", Changmin admitted that Yunho's overenthusiastic nature made it hard for him to keep up with sometime. "I do not prefer competition. I like to take a step back," he said.
Thus, Changmin was jealous of Super Junior's members who are known for their more laid-back nature. "At least once, I've wanted to try promoting as a member of Super Junior, even if I have to pay," he jokingly said, surprising everyone.
While the MCs laughed at Changmin's comment, Yunho took it seriously. "I was really angry about that. We built the brand name of TVXQ through hard toil so why do you want to go to another group?" he responded. Changmin then tried to lighten up the mood again as saying, "He bites back like this is life or death to a comment I made as a joke."
Well, at least Changmin got a chance to perform together with some of Super Junior's members Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae when they were still serving at military. Changmin was discharged from service on August 18, while Yunho completed his mandatory military service earlier this year on April 20.
The duo has launched their comeback with Yunho dropping an upbeat track "DROP" and Changmin releasing a slow acoustic song "In a Different Life". They recently performed for their fans at "TVXQ! Special Comeback Live - YouR PresenT" which was held on September 30 and October 1 and where they performed their hit songs like "Mirotic", "Why (Keep Your Head Down)", "Catch Me" and "Something" in addition to their solo tracks.
