AceShowbiz - Ryan Phillippe is facing a lawsuit, filed by his model ex-girlfriend who accused him of domestic violence. Elsie Hewitt alleged in the lawsuit that the "Shooter" actor kicked, punched her as well as threw her down the stairs in a heated argument on July 4.
"He grabbed Hewitt's upper arm so tightly that his grip left heavy bruises on her arm hours later. He then braced his body and violently threw her down his staircase as hard as he could," the court documents read.
The documents continued saying that the model came to her feet and later walked back up the stairs to retrieve her belongings. But then Phillippe allegedly "grabbed Hewitt, struck her, cornered her, kicked her, and aggressively pushed her to the ground."
The complaint further stated that a friend of Hewitt, who was not named, tried to pull the actor away from Hewitt, but could not due to their differences in stature. "[Phillippe] picked [her] up like a doll and tossed her down the stairs a second time," the documents went on stating. Hewitt later allegedly attempted to crawl down the remaining steps "in agonizing pain."
"As Hewitt and her friend were half-way down the first set of stairs, Phillippe threw Hewitt's boots down the stairs at Hewitt and shouted, "Get the f**k out of my house you crazy c**t!" stated the documents.
Hewitt was later rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. On July 6, LAPD issued an Emergency Protective Order against the actor.
Hewitt, who was named Playboy's Miss June in 2017, documented the injures she suffered from the alleged battery in some photos. Obtained by The Blast, the photos feature bruises and cuts on Hewitt's back, arms and knee.
The 21-year-old alleged that the argument started as Phillippe, who was previously married to Reese Witherspoon, was jealous of the former at a party the night before. Hewitt was allegedly attracting the attention of other men, making Phillippe feel "neglected" and "ignored."
The model also claimed that the actor was "repeatedly abusing a panoply of legal and illegal drugs, including without limitation: cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and steroids (e.g. chronic gonadotropin, sermorelin acetate, and norditropin somatropin injections). Phillippe increasingly combined these drugs with excessive alcohol consumption and often exhibited symptoms attendant of poly drug and alcohol abuse, including mood swings and bouts of anger."
Hewitt took to Instagram to share her feelings following the news. "we spend a lot of time on here showing our happiest moments and it's easy to assume someone's life is perfect," she captioned a black-and-white photo of her. "I'm a very private person but there are some tribulations I've been facing recently so I wanted to say thank u guys for your love, thank you to those who have been there for me, and thank you for those in my life who haven't, for teaching me a good lesson."
However, sources close to Phillippe claimed that it was Hewitt who physically attacked the actor. The sources alleged that Hewitt showed up to Phillippe's house uninvited and under the influence before causing a scene. The sources added that the bruises occurred when she fell and hurt herself as she was being escorted off the premises. The sources said that the domestic violence accusations were false and the lawsuit was all about revenge and fame.
Hewitt is asking $1 million in damages as she claimed to suffer from chest wall pain, abrasions and severe bruising.
