The 'Suits' actor decides to delete his social media accounts after facing scrutiny for posting a throwback picture with his onscreen love interest.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle has been under media microscope after her relationship with Prince Harry was exposed, but the intense scrutiny has impacted not just her but also her friends. Her "Suits" co-star Patrick J. Adams reveals he quit social media because of the media frenzy.
In an interview with Esquire, the 36-year-old Canadian actor who plays Markle's onscreen love interest on the TV series says he faced backlash for posting a throwback picture of his planting a friendly kiss on her cheek. So he ended up deleting his social media accounts.
"I'm not good at [social media], I overthink every post that I put out and the ramifications and who'll be listening and how it'll be received," he says. "[Last month,] I posted this old photo I had found of Meghan and I on set. I went to bed, and woke up in the morning and realized 'Oh, yeah. I live in a world where you can't post things about Meghan'."
"I had this onslaught of people retweeting the thing, people thinking it was a recent picture, and I just thought, 'What the hell is going on?' It was such an innocent moment of sentimentality that was twisted into something totally different. It made me feel like ... why put myself through this? We're like brother and sister, it's not like it was lurid or anything, but it just became a story that people wanted to talk about."
Meghan Markle has been dating Prince Harry for a year. She reportedly has met his father Prince Charles, older brother Prince William, and grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. Rumor has it, Prince Harry plans to propose to her soon and has created a special ring made of diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana's brooch.
"We're two people who are really happy and in love," the actress recently told Vanity Fair. "I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It's part of what makes it so special, that it's just ours. But we're happy."
Patrick J. Adams himself is a married man. He tied the knot with "Pretty Little Liars" star Troian Bellisario in December 2016.
