Meghan Markle Finally Meets the Queen After Year-Long Relationship With Prince Harry

The 'Suits' actress is reportedly introduced to the British monarch by her royal boyfriend at the family's estate in Scotland.

AceShowbiz - %cMeghan Markle% has met %cPrince Harry%'s father %cPrince Charles% and older brother %cPrince William%, and now she's finally introduced to her boyfriend's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. "He's keen to make an introduction," a Harry pal said, adding that the ginger-haired royal only waited for "the right time."

It finally happened on September 3 after the couple's "trip of a lifetime" to Botswana and Zambia. With his dad Prince Charles and stepmother Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, staying at Birkhall, Prince Harry took his actress girlfriend to the family's estate in Scotland. But his ulterior motive was actually to take her to meet the Queen.

So the couple dropped by the Queen's summer residence at Balmoral Castle. The meeting "went well." The source told Us Weekly, "The entire weekend was a success. [Harry] was able to introduce someone he loves to someone he cares for deeply." The insider added, "It'll no doubt be the first of many encounters."

Now Prince Harry is reportedly planning his proposal. Rumor has it, he created a ring using diamonds from a brooch that once belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana. He wants to take her to Africa to pop the big question, and Kensington Palace is getting ready for the big announcement. "These things are planned well in advance; it's not easy to roll out that kind of news," explained the source. "Everyone knows how happy Harry is and is excited for the day it's announced."

While it took %cKate Middleton% five years after dating %cPrince William% to be introduced to the British monarch, Meghan only needs a year to meet the Queen. Although she's a commoner, "she fits perfectly into the family," said the source. "The difference in backgrounds means absolutely nothing." She also "gets on fabulously" with Prince Charles and Camilla.

Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 32, started dating in 2016. "We're two people who are really happy and in love," the "Suits" actress recently told Vanity Fair. "I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It's part of what makes it so special, that it's just ours. But we're happy."
