Movie

Leonardo DiCaprio has been in discussion to play Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee in a biopic. During a panel at this year's HasCon which was held over the weekend, the 94-year-old comic-book writer revealed that DiCaprio's a huge fan of Marvel and that the Oscar-winning actor wanted to play him in a film about his life.

It was revealed that Lee and DiCaprio were actually neighbors, which ended up with the comics creator visiting the actor's house. "He has all the walls covered with big Marvel posters and everything. He's got very good taste," said the former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics.

Lee went on saying that DiCaprio had talked to him about playing him in a potential biographical film. "He's a neighbor of mine and we were talking one day some months ago, and he said, 'Boy it'd be fun to do your story on the screen.' So I said, 'Well, Ill audition you.' Gotta make sure the guy can do it," shared the comics legend.

A Stan Lee biopic is not announced yet. But DiCaprio's interest in portraying the Marvel legend could lead to another Marvel and DC's rivalry, as it was recently reported that Warner Bros. was interested in tapping the "Inception" actor to star in their upcoming Joker origin film.

The report came on the heels of Warner Bros. announcing that they're planning to make a Joker film that chronicles the Clown Prince of Crime's backstory. Additionally, it was reported that Martin Scorsese, DiCaprio's frequent collaborator, would be involved in producing the planned solo flick.

DiCaprio was last seen in 2015's adventurous thriller "The Revenant". The 42-year-old actor is currently in pre-production of "Killers of the Flower Moon", a crime, historical drama to be directed by Scorsese based on David Grann's novel of the same name, and "The Black Hand", a feature adaptation of Stephan Talty's book.
