Zayn Malik has gone bald, and fans are shaken. The former One Direction star has decided to shave his gorgeous locks completely as he shows off his bare head in a new Instagram snap which is posted by his mother Trisha Malik.
The black-and-white pic sees Zayn posing between his mother and his model girlfriend Gigi Hadid. Despite the lack of hair on his head, the 24-year-old heartthrob still sports his trademark scruffy beard while smirking to the camera. Gigi beams beside him, leaning back to his shoulder and smiling from ear to ear. Meanwhile, Trisha plants a kiss on her son's head.
Unsurprisingly, fans give mixed reactions to Zayn's new look. A shocked fan writes in the comment section, "WHATS WRONG WITH HIS HAIR? OMG," while another is "praying this is fake." Another remarks, "shook shook shook! But he still looking hot." Similarly, another fan gushes, "He looks so cute. With hair or not. Hot."
Last year, Zayn revealed that he could be more experimental with his look since leaving One Direction. "Since leaving One Direction I've been given the freedom to be able to wear whatever I want and that's what made it more interesting," he said. "More creative. I can say I want to wear metal arms and it'll happen."
Zayn and his mom recently celebrated Eid al-Adha together with Gigi and her mom Yolanda Hadid. Yolanda shared a sweet photo of them while wishing happy "Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating."
Earlier this summer, the British singer dished on his religious upbringing. "I'm not currently practicing but I was raised in the Islamic faith, so it will always be with me, and I identify a lot with the culture," he shared. "But I'm just me. I don't want to be defined by my religion or my cultural background."
