"This Is Us" has released a slew of first official photos from upcoming season 2. Judging from the photos, things seemingly are about to get rocky for Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore).
With his brow furrowed, the Pearson patriarch looks miserable in the first photo. He sits behind the wheel of the family station wagon while looking at something, which most likely isn't a good thing.
Another photo sees Jack having a cup of coffee. Donning a blue long-sleeved Polo shirt, he sports a contemplative expression on his face.
Meanwhile, Rebecca is reading alone in her room. Wearing a purple top and a pair of jeans, she has her legs crossed and a book on her lap. Although it's not explicitly shown, it seems like Rebecca is as miserable as Jack since she looks like she may break down in tears any minutes in the picture.
The last photo, however, teases that the sophomore season of the hit NBC drama won't be all about sadness and full of tears. Pictured at a theater, Rebecca is seen catching a movie with teenage Big Three. Kevin (Logan Shroyer) and Randall (Niles Fitch) are laughing alongside their mom, but Kate (Hannah Zeile) looks annoyed.
The show recently cast "That '70s Show" alum Debra Jo Rupp in a recurring role for the sophomore season. Debra is set to guest star as a social worker named Linda, who will cross paths with Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson). Series creator Dan Fogelman explained that Linda would be "helping them with their [adoption] process."
Also set to guest star on the Emmy-nominated series include Sylvester Stallone, Katie Couric, Katey Sagal, Brad Garrett, Seth Meyers, Jimmi Simpson and Elizabeth Perkins. "This Is Us" season 2 kicks off on Tuesday, September 26 at 9 P.M. on NBC.
