AceShowbiz - Several concerts scheduled in Houston and outside the city were canceled due to bad weather. Coldplay, Mary J. Blige and Lady Antebellum were among the artists forced to pull the plug on their scheduled show because of Hurricane Harvey.
Chris Martin and his bandmates put on hold their concert at Houston's NRG Stadium. They were supposed to perform on Friday night, August 25. "We really wanted to play tonight, but sitting here all together watching the news about the storm we feel that we can’t ask anyone to put their safety at risk," they explained on Twitter.
"So, sadly, we will have to postpone," the British band continued. "We will give details of recheduling/refunding as soon as we can. We are really sorry for the inconveniences that will cause. Stay safe and see you soon. Love, Coldplay."

Meanwhile, Lady Antebellum has chosen to cancel their "You Look Good World" tour stop at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas. It was supposed to take place on Sunday night, August 27. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.
The storm hitting in the south also forced Simple Plan and The Piano Guys to rearrange their shows, both originally scheduled for Friday night. Simple Plan was supposed to perform at the House of Blues and The Piano Guys at Revention Music Center.
"Due to Hurricane Harvey, our show in Houston tonight is officially postponed," the band stated. "Fans' safety is our number one priority and after careful consideration, it was decided that this was the right thing to do for everyone involved. We are extremely sorry for this unfortunate turn of events and for any inconvenience this may cause."
They added, "We are already working on finding a replacement date for the show and will announce the details as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to playing for you. Please be careful and stay safe."
