The hit NBC show has taken to its Twitter account to share the exciting news. It shares a picture of a board featuring the "La La Land" actor and the "4:44" spitter's names, with the date of the episode pinned on it. It will mark the second time for "The Notebook" actor to host the show as he previously headlined "SNL" back in 2015. He guest starred on the show alongside Leon Bridges.
Ryan's upcoming appearance on the comedy show will line up with the release date of his upcoming movie "Blade Runner 2049". Also starring Harrison Ford, the flick is set to hit U.S. theaters on October 6.
Jay-Z, meanwhile, recently dropped new album titled "4:44". The studio effort, which marks Jay-Z's 14th No. 1 album, grabs people attention quickly after the release since it finds the husband of Beyonce Knowles addressing his feud with Kanye West on a song titled "Kill Jay Z".
The upcoming episode will be Jay-Z's fourth time to serve as musical guest on the Emmy-winning show. His latest appearance on the show was in May 2010 when Betty White was the host.
"Saturday Night Live" season 43 is scheduled to premiere on September 30 at 11.30 P.M. on NBC.
