The 47-year-old spitter and the 'Mirror' hitmaker are allegedly being considered to headline the show at U.S. Bank Stadium next year.

AceShowbiz - This is huge! Word on the street is that Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year. The two A-list artists are reportedly in discussions to perform at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on February 4.

While it is still unclear whether the report is true, the music mogul just released "4:44" two months ago and the former member of NSYNC is said to be releasing a new album in early 2018. So it makes complete sense if they plan to bring their new materials to one of the world's most prestigious live shows.

If the report is true, it wouldn't be the first time Justin graces the show with his presence. He played an important role during the infamous wardrobe malfunction at the show back in 2004. In case you don't remember, the pop star ripped off a piece of Janet Jackson's costume and revealed her bare breast on global TV.

Jay-Z and Justin have hit the studio together for a number of hit songs, including "Suit & Tie" and "Holy Grail". They even hit the road together back in 2013 for "Legends of the Summer Tour". In an interview with Billboard, Justin previously explained that he and Jay-Z initially collaborated when he worked with Timbaland on Beyonce Knowles' album.

"I was with Tim and we were working on stuff for Miss Beyonce," he said at that time. "And she made the mistake of letting Jay and I have another room at the studio. Actually, I don't want to give too much away, but we've done a lot of songs together. So hopefully those will find a way to see the light of the day."

While Justin is currently working hard in the studio, Jay-Z is gearing up for an extensive trek in support of "4:44". The 31-stop North American tour will kick off on October 27 in Anaheim, California and conclude in Los Angeles on December 21.
