AceShowbiz - DC fans want Neil Patrick Harris to play The Riddler opposite Batman. An online petition addressed to Warner Bros. Entertainment has been launched on Change.org, demanding the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" actor to be cast as the supervillain in the DC Extended Universe.
"Neil Patrick Harris is the number one choice from fans around the world to play The Riddler in the DCEU," reads the online letter, which was started by Pat Monahan a few days ago. It's so far reached nearly 200 supporters.
In the online letter, Pat points out that Neil's "quirkiness and squeeky voice are perfect, his appearance is almost dead accurate to the comics, and he himself said that he would love to play this role. Lets get this ball rolling and make this happen DC fans!!!"
Back in December 2015, Neil did say that he would be "totally" up for taking on the role of the Batman villain opposite Ben Affleck in the DCEU. "The Smurfs" actor tweeted at the time, "Totally, but only if neither of us have to go full frontal."

In response, fans even drew "what we think you might look like" as The Riddler, who is depicted as a Gotham City criminal mastermind in the comics.

Warner Bros. has yet to respond to the online petition. Meanwhile, fans can see Affleck reprising his role as the Caped Crusader in "Justice League", which is coming to U.S. theaters on November 17. He will also star in "The Batman" solo movie to be directed by Matt Reeves.
