Linkin Park has decided to cancel their "One More Light" North American tour following its lead vocalist Chester Bennington's tragic death. It looks like Chester's bandmates are still in shock, and hitting the road without the band's iconic frontman is the last thing on their minds right now.
Tour promoter Live Nation said in a statement, "We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington. The Linkin Park 'One More Light' North American Tour has been canceled. Refunds avail at point of purchase. Our thoughts to all those affected."
The trek is in support of the band's seventh studio album "One More Light", which was released in May. The group has traveled across South America and Europe for the tour. The North American leg was initially set to kick off on July 27 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
Los Angeles County coroner's office has confirmed that Chester's cause of death was suicide by hanging. The late singer was found dead at the age of 41 by one of his employees on Thursday, July 20 in a bedroom of his private residence. Investigators revealed that "there was no suicide note found anywhere in the room." However, an autopsy is still pending.
