'The Walking Dead': Negan Will Be Missing Several Episodes of Season 8
TV

While he is a series regular in the upcoming season, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has not been spotted on the set since filming the first episode of season 8.

AceShowbiz - Negan may be the main villain of "The Walking Dead" season 8, but he won't be around that much. It appears that the leader of the Saviors, which has sparred with Rick and his group since the seventh season, will be missing several episodes of the season.

Digital Spy reports that Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the character, has not been spotted on the set since filming the season 8 premiere, which is also the 100th episode of the series. The series is currently shooting its fifth episode, so Negan may not appear in episode 2 to 5 of the season.

Morgan indeed has another gig in production right now. He has joined the cast of "Rampage" which also stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and is currently in production, which could explain why he might be absent in several episodes of the AMC series.

Besides Negan, two other characters, Rosita and Michonne, have been reported to be missing from parts of the first half of season 8.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 will premiere in October on AMC. The first trailer of the new season is expected to be released at San Diego Comic-Con in July.
