It seems like Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's relationship is on the rocks. After dating for nearly two years, Gigi reportedly wants to end her relationship with the "Pillowtalk" hitmaker soon as she can't stand his dependent behavior.
It is believed that Zayn's struggle with anxiety is taking a toll on their relationship as Gigi feels suffocated by him. "Zayn still gets incredibly worked up over every little thing and it's really wearing Gigi out," an insider tells OK!. "He's become dependent on her, and she feels trapped. Everyone around her is convinced she'll end it by the end of summer."
Although Zayn's anxiety may be the reason why Gigi is going to give up on their relationship, the "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" singer shared that his anxiety is at "a much more manageable place" now. "It's not a thing that you just get rid of overnight, but it's getting to a much more manageable place. I think it came from a lack of confidence, just a sense of disbelief in myself," he said in a recent interview. "I can think of people coming out to see me perform as a positive thing now, rather than something I am dreading."
Prior to this, it was reported that Gigi and Zayn were actively trying for a baby as they wanted to settle down really soon. "Gigi and Zayn are madly in love right now and they both talk about marriage and babies all the time, especially now two of his old [One Direction] bandmates are daddies," a source revealed. "He really wants to settle down with Gigi, ideally in the U.K., and they're not using protection."
