The 'Peek A Boo' rapper has finally released his first proper studio album after releasing two EPs and collaborating with some hip-hop stars on some hit songs.

AceShowbiz - At the age of 19, Lil Yachty has been one of the brightest newcomers in hip-hop. Born Miles Park McCollum, the Atlanta rapper first came to prominence when his first hit song "One Night" was used in a viral comedy video back in 2015. After releasing two mixtapes and assisting a number of massive artists on several hit songs, Yachty finally released his debut studio album "Teenage Emotions" on May 26, 2017.

The LP features 21 tracks and boasts guest appearances from Migos, Diplo, Grace, YG and more. Describing his music as "mumble rap," the rapper claimed that he wanted the effort to cater "teenager's lifestyle." He previously said of the project, "It's called 'Teenage Emotions' so it caters to a teenager's everyday lifestyle: heartbreaks, happiness, that vibe of when you're waking up in the morning, getting dressed and want to dance."

He added, "It’s not just bars of of straight mumble rap. It goes down different lanes. I be rapping real hard on this one. I be pop singing on this, and I be talking about being lost in love on this one, then back to 'f**k you, suck my d**k!' "

Unfortunately, "Teenage Emotions" didn't do very well in music chart. It debuted at No. 5 on Billboard Hot 100, lower than expected. Yachty later took to Instagram to reach out to his fans by writing a lengthy heartfelt message. The rapper shared that he made the album for his fans, not "for the old reviews and bloggers."

He wrote, "I just want to thank you for giving me your all. Supporting me and backing me up when I'm not around but am always in spirit. I didn't make this 21 project for the old reviews and bloggers. I made it for real Lil Yachty fans who have been dying for new music from me… that's why I put so many song.. that's why it's mostly just me."
