Alex Rodriguez is reportedly facing extortion. According to TMZ, a woman with whom the retired baseball player broke up in 2014 has been contacting him and threatening to release old texts she received from him during their relationship.
The woman reportedly demanded $600,000 or she would shop around their private messages to the media. The former athlete refused to give her any money. Instead, he consulted with his legal team to take her to court if she kept badgering him.
The female reportedly has been asking for a small amount of money since their split, but he always turned her down. Now that he was in the spotlight for dating Jennifer Lopez, the woman got more persistent. She asked for bigger money and resorted to blackmail when he still didn't give in.
The identity of the woman is still unclear. An alleged mistress named Lauren Hunter recently claimed that A-Rod cheated on J.Lo and trashed the singer during their sordid phone sex and hotel hookup.
