Maksim Chmerkovskiy Pissed at Heather Morris' Shocking 'DWTS' Elimination

The Ukrainian dancer can't hide his disappointment over his and Heather's elimination despite being one of the frontrunners on the show.

AceShowbiz - Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were shockingly eliminated on "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday night, April 24. While they remained calm during an interview after the results were announced, Maks was clearly shocked by the elimination.

"Well, I mean we've had a few [surprising upsets] in 24 seasons of the show [but] I just never thought that that one of my [partners] was going to be a part of that shock," he tells ET after the show. "Brandy [Norwood] and I didn't make the final [in season 11] when I thought she was one of the best dancers that season, but [that] wasn't as shocking as this. This is crazy."

That is completely understandable, considering Maksim and Heather just got the first perfect score of the season for their Rumba. "I'm pissed," he added. "[But] it's not the last time [Heather and I] will be doing stuff together and, you know, I'm looking forward to when that happens."

Heather, on the other hand, says she was prepared for the worst. "I feel like, [as] with any show that you watch on TV, it's like, you don't really know what's coming next," she says. "I was kinda preparing for anything that could happen or could come my way. So it was like, 'OK, if this is going to happen, let's just be positive and go out the right way.' "

Like before, the "Glee" alum takes the elimination in stride as saying, "Everybody is so fantastic here and just so welcoming, [so] it was like, nice to [know] that I'm going to say goodbye, but I'm also going to see these people again." She, however, admits that she's sad because "we want to see [Maksim] dance again."

Another pair, Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, have reacted to Heather and Maks' shocking elimination. "By Heather going home it shows that it's super unpredictable and it comes down to the fans voting," Normani tells ET. "I was really nervous, especially because I was in jeopardy last week."

Val, meanwhile, is equally disappointed as his brother Maks. He says, "He worked really hard to come back and give Heather the rest of the season. Unfortunately, he didn't get a chance to do that. But that's why I tell [Normani] to enjoy every moment. It could be gone at any point." Val adds, "I hope Heather feels at least a little bit fulfilled doing this show, and it was a pleasure having her."
