Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to direct Universal's R-rated musical comedy film, with a working title "Wingmen". "The Walk" actor is also set to star in the movie alongside Channing Tatum. Gordon-Levitt and the "21 Jump Street" star will produce the film along with Marc Platt, Adam Siegel and Peter Kiernan.

The project will focus on the story of two pilots (Gordon-Levitt and Tatum) who crash-land in Las Vegas, according to Variety. It is also reported that the upcoming movie is a combination of "Pitch Perfect" and Broadway musical "The Book of Mormon", with a touch of adult humor.

Production won't be started anytime soon as Tatum is about to begin filming action-thriller "Triple Frontier" alongside Tom Hardy. "The Lego Batman Movie" actor will next be seen in "Logan Lucky" opposite Daniel Craig and Adam Driver, as well as in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle", which is set to hit U.S. theaters on September 29.

The movie will mark Gordon-Levitt's return as director after he helmed 2013's romantic comedy drama "Don Jon". His acting credits include "Premium Rush", "The Dark Knight Rises", "Inception", "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" and "500 Days of Summer".
