In the outrageous dark comedy "Pain and Gain," directed by Michael Bay, a trio of bodybuilders in 1990s Miami find themselves entangled in a wild scheme of kidnapping and extortion. Led by the ambitious yet dim-witted Daniel Lugo, portrayed by Mark Wahlberg, this group is fueled by their desire for the American Dream and a glamorous lifestyle, believing they can achieve success through any means necessary.
