AceShowbiz - Adele glammed up in her green gown while attending the 59th Grammy Awards last month, during when she picked up five awards. However, cruel haters were not holding back in criticizing her glamorous look, likening her to ogre Princess Fiona from the "Shrek" animated movie series that was voiced by Cameron Diaz.
"Why Adele look like Fiona from Shrek 1, 2, 3 and 4?" asked one Tweeter user. Another tweeted, "Somebody have to say : Adele as Fiona Shrek #GRAMMYs." One other mean troll added, "I'm not tryna be funny, I'm really not but is it just me or does Adele's dress make her look like Fiona from Shrek?"
A fed-up Adele has spoken up against the online trolls. According to The Sun, the British singer said she worked out twice a day to fit into the Givenchy gown. "Before the Grammys I had this dress right, I wore this green dress, everyone said I looked like Fiona from Shrek," she revealed.
"I don't f**king care. It was Givenchy Couture, they can say what they want," she said. "I worked out. Obviously I'm a large lady and I like eating food very much, but I was working out twice a day to fit into that Givenchy dress because it was quite tight."
The 28-year-old singer, who is currently on her tour in Australia, added, "I was running a very long time to get fit for this but it never worked."
