The 26-year-old actress' fiance, Timothy Spear, ended their relationship after being overwhelmed by the publicity.

AceShowbiz - Lauren Potter admitted that she is currently single again. The "Glee" alum revealed to PEOPLE that her then-fiance, Timothy Spear, ended their relationship over the holidays, just months after Lauren accepted a promise ring from Timothy back in August.
Lauren opened up about her engagement's cancellation, saying that it hurt her. "It hurts," the 26-year-old actress said, before adding, "After we got married, I wanted to wake up and see him make breakfast for me. I loved him so much."
The "Veep" actress' mom, Robin Sinkhorn, later chimed in and revealed that Timothy called off the engagement due to excessive publicity he received for being Lauren's fiance. "He did not like the publicity. It was overwhelming," Robin said.
Lauren accepted Timothy's proposal back in August. The couple's proposal made headlines since both of them are diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Timothy, who was Lauren's childhood friend-turned-boyfriend, proposed to the "Leader of the Pack" actress with a promise ring. Lauren was overjoyed by the proposal as she even appeared on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress" to find her perfect wedding dress.
"He picked out the ring, made payments on it, and then planned the picnic and the moment to get down on one knee to ask her to promise to be his one-and-only and marry him when they are ready," Lauren's mom said in a statement six months ago.
Although she was hurt, Lauren decided that her failed engagement had nothing to do with her life. She has reportedly been hitting the gym and already gone out on a few very promising dates. Lauren is also scheduled to make an appearance in the series finale of "Switched at Birth" on April 11.
