'La La Land' Wins Big at 2017 BAFTAs

Other winners at the British Academy Film Awards include 'Lion', 'Fences', 'Manchester by the Sea', 'Arrival' and 'Hacksaw Ridge'.

AceShowbiz - The British Academy Film Awards was held at London's Royal Albert Hall over the weekend. Hollywood stars and the royal couple %cPrince William% and his Duchess %cKate Middleton% glittered the red carpet to help celebrate the best in movies.

"La La Land" won big, collecting at least five nods including the coveted Best Film. It also earned %cEmma Stone% a Best Actress trophy and Damien Chazelle a Best Director prize. The songs in the film were additionally named Best Original Music.

%cCasey Affleck% grabbed Best Actor for "Manchester by the Sea", %cDev Patel% took home Best Supporting Actor for "Lion", %cViola Davis% won Best Supporting Actress for "Fences", and %cTom Holland% received Rising Star Award.

Critic darlings like "Arrival" and "Hacksaw Ridge" also managed to grab one prize each. Other winners include "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and "Florence Foster Jenkins".
