An all-star tribute concert is being planned by Dane Esther Rantzen to thank the late singer for secretly donating nearly $2.5 million to her Childline charity.

AceShowbiz - George Michael tribute concert is being planned by Dane Esther Rantzen for next year to celebrate the singer's life. According to a new report from The Mirror, the founder of Childline charity wanted to thank the late singer for secretly donating nearly $2.5 million to her counseling service as well as to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
"George helped us to reach out to hundreds of thousands of children through his generosity," she said. "I met him a couple of times, he approached us, rather than us going cap in hand to him, but it was an intensely personal gift. He didn't want it to be known or to be part of his image," she continued. "I think it would be wonderful to celebrate him with a tribute concert next year."
"We were able to counsel 300.000 children who needed help last year, through emails, online and phone calls, and George made a palpable difference," Dane went on to share, before adding, "There was a sense of personal interest for him. We know he kept his sexuality quiet and it may have been tough for him when he was younger."
George was found dead by his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz on Christmas Day at his home in Oxfordshire. The Wham! singer was 53. His manager Michael Lippman confirmed that he died of heart failure and was found "in bed, lying peacefully."
