Spotify streams for George Michael's solo music are skyrocketing just one day after he passed away on Christmas. His streams were up by 3,158 percent on Monday, December 26 as music industry mourns the loss of the Wham! member.

Wham!'s hit "Last Christmas" topped the Spotify chart along with the duo's other songs like "Careless Whisper", "Faith", "Freedom! '90", and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go". A specially-made playlist called "This Is: George Michael!" has attracted more than 18,000 subscribers.

The stream increase was calculated by analyzing streams of George's solo catalog. Spotify compared Monday's numbers with the date from the same period Sunday, before news of the British pop icon's death emerged.

George was found dead in bed by his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz on Sunday, December 25. "ITs a xmas i will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning.. I will never stop missing you xx," Fadi tweeted.

According to his manager, George died of heart failure. He was 53.
