Jennifer Lopez has abruptly canceled her plan to ring in 2017 with a performance at E11even nightclub in Miami, Florida. A source told TMZ that the singer would have received $1 million for the gig, but she decided to bow out to spend time at her new home with her family.
J.Lo recently bought a home in Bel-Air, which was reportedly where she would ring in the new year with her twin children, Max and Emme, and other family members. "She was just so consumed with 'Shades of Blue', her concert and other obligations, getting on a plane for New Year's just seemed too much and she wanted some personal and family time during the holidays," a source said.
J.Lo's rep told PEOPLE in a statement that the singer would reschedule the appearance in the future. "Citing personal and family time, Jennifer Lopez's manager Benny Medina has canceled her Miami appearance on New Year's Eve. Having attended the event last year, artist and management look forward to rescheduling the appearance at E11even in the future," the rep said.
The "Ain't Your Mama" songstress has had a busy 2016 as she just finished filming her TV show "Shades of Blue" in New York City. She also had a packed schedule for her Las Vegas residency shows "All I Have".
J.Lo has been making headlines since her ex-husband Marc Anthony announced divorce from Shannon De Lima. Lopez is reportedly the reason behind Anthony and De Lima's split. There have also been rumors that she has rekindled her romance with Anthony after they were spotted going on many "private dates."
