David managed to fool Jay into thinking he was safe, but David himself didn't make it into the final 3.

AceShowbiz - Which generation played the game the best on "Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X"? After weeks of living in the wilderness in Fiji, one of the contestants went home with the title of the Sole Survivor and a million bucks.

The Wednesday (December 14) season finale began with six players, Adam Klein, Ken McNickle, Bret LaBelle, Hannah Shapiro, Justin "Jay" Starrett and David Wright. David set a trap by making a craft which looked like a hidden immunity idol. Jay found it and thought that he was safe.

In the first immunity challenge, the remaining six contestants had to race through obstacles, collecting bags of tiles. Using the numbers inside, they had to solve a combination lock. After that, they raced back through more obstacles and had to solve a bat puzzle. The winner of the game got immunity and juicy steak.

David won and he got to choose two people to eat the steak with him at the camp. Before David chose, Jay used his "Reward Stealer". Jay picked David, who beat him fair and square, and Adam, who gave him the Reward Stealer, to eat the steak with him.

At the first Tribal Council, Jay was going to use his "idol," but Jeff Probst told him that it's useless. Jay laughed it off. Meanwhile, Ken played his Legacy Advantage, but it was unnecessary as Jay got all of the votes.

For the next challenge, they had to maneuver a buoy through obstacles in the water and transported puzzle pieces across a teeter-totter where they had to solve a word puzzle. Ken solved the puzzle first and won the immunity.

David wanted to eliminate Adam, but Adam found another idol. David told Bret about his plans, but Bret wanted David out. At the Tribal Council, Adam used his idol. He and Bret voted for David, but everyone else voted for Bret.

The final immunity challenge had the contestants use a long pole to maneuver bowls through a channel and then stack them at the top. The first to stack 13 bowls or whoever had the most bowls stacked after 30 minutes won and secured a spot in the finals. Ken won the final immunity challenge.

David was the last player sent to the jury, so it's down to Adam, Hannah and Ken in the final Tribal Council. Each of them made a pitch for his/herself, with Hannah claiming that she played a strategic game. Adam said he played the best game of the three of them and Ken claimed that he showed the importance of connecting with people.

Adam got emotional when he revealed that his mother was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. He opened up about how important playing the game was for his family.

The votes were announced at the reunion show in the U.S. Adam won with unanimous votes. He revealed that his mother died an hour after he returned to San Fransisco. "I got home and I was able to tell her, I said mom, I love you so much, and she was there with me. She was," he said at the reunion special. "And she said, I love you, I said I love you. She said, don't stop saying that. ... And she died an hour after I got home."

The next season of "Survivor" subtitled "Game Changers" is also filmed in Fiji and will air in the spring on CBS.
