The 'Dancing with the Stars' judge and her boyfriend got engaged on Saturday, December 10 during a trip to a secluded beach cove along the California coast, where they had their first date.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Ann Inaba is one step closer to walking down the aisle. The "Dancing with the Stars" judge and her actor boyfriend Robb Derringer have told PEOPLE that they're now engaged after he popped the question last Saturday, December 10 while they were visiting the site of their first date, a secluded beach cove along the California coast.

"Saturdays are special to us, because our first date was on a Saturday and we have celebrated with a toast, a visit to a beach, special date, a motorcycle adventure, or a road trip on every Saturday since," Inaba tells the publication. "So on Saturday, we returned to the place of our first date and got engaged at the same place we shared our spontaneous and magical first date."

She goes on detailing the "perfect" proposal, saying that Derringer gave her a ring designed by Jean Dousset. "We shared our desire to commit to one another for life by beginning that journey in a very intimate and private way, just the two of us, alone on the beach with a bonfire, a bottle of Aubert Chardonnay and the majestic Pacific ocean that has always been an integral force in both our lives," she explains.

"All alone on that beautiful beach, it was as if time stood still and we were the only two people on earth. I will never forget it. It was perfect," she continues. "Getting engaged where we had that perfect first date, was really such poetic destiny."

Inaba and Derringer show off the beautiful engagement ring in a photo collage posted on his Instagram page Wednesday, December 14. She proudly flaunts the sparkler as she and her beau pose in front of the bonfire.

"So overjoyed to share the best thing that has ever happened to me when @carrieanninaba made me the luckiest guy in the world in saying....yes," he gushes over his lady in the caption. "Thanks to @jeandousset for helping me to create the most unique, exquisite symbol of my love for Carrie."

Inaba and Derringer went public with their relationship earlier this year. In their interview with PEOPLE, he also recalls how he figured out that Inaba was the one for him while his girl adorably praises the former "General Hospital" star.

The news outlet notes that the pair have yet set a wedding date, but they know it will be on a Saturday.
