Kanye West met his idol, Donald Trump, on Tuesday morning, December 13 in midtown Manhattan. Wearing an all-black outfit, the rapper dropped by the Trump tower which became the base of operations for the President-elect's transition team.
Kanye refused to answer any question from the press when he stepped into the lobby with the next President of the United States after a 15-minute sit-down. "I just want to take a picture right now," he reasoned. The two were grinning from ear to ear in the photo.
"He's a good man," Trump later said. "We've been friends for a long time." Without divulging any details, he said they "discussed life." The two men shook hands before Kanye departed. "So long, man," Trump said. "You take care of yourself. I'll see you soon."

The two met because Trump "is going to be president for all Americans," Trump transition team communications director Jason Miller tells The Daily Beast. "[Kanye] has had positive things to say about the president-elect," and Trump is interested in "putting together coalitions" and wants to "reach out to people both from traditional and nontraditional political viewpoints."
According to E! News, Kanye West and Donald Trump talked about a potential "entrepreneurial leadership role." The President-elect wanted to have him as a "ambassador of sorts."
