Hailey Baldwin Throws Shade at Taylor Swift's Famous Squad: 'I Don't Understand It'
Celebrity

'I don't think that you need to create a public squad. I don't know what that proves,' the model says of Taylor's star-studded gang, which happens to include her close friend Gigi Hadid.

AceShowbiz - Hailey Baldwin isn't part of Taylor Swift's girl squad and she's totally okay with it. In fact, the model has made it pretty clear in a new interview with Autralia's Yahoo7 Be that she doesn't even want anything to do with the pop superstar's famous group.

"I don't know what having a squad means," said Hailey, who interestingly befriends some longtime members of Swift's gang including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid. "I just have my friends and that's it. I don't think that you need to create a public squad. I don't know what that proves. So I don't understand the Taylor Swift squad at all."

Hailey, who's been in Aussie for the launch of her new Model Co. line, went on telling the publication that she celebrated her 20th birthday last month with her closest ones. "I was just with some of my really close friends - my sister, my cousin - and we just did a little 48-hour trip," she explained. "We were in Canada and it was just low-key and fun and it was exactly what I wanted."

While Hailey chose to privately celebrate her big day, Taylor often throws big parties for many occasions with her squad members, which also includes Lily Aldridge, Hailee Steinfeld, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne and more. Recently, the "Bad Blood" hitmaker invited the likes of Martha Hunt, Lily Donaldson and Todrick Hall to celebrate Thanksgiving in her Rhode Island home.

Hailey is hardly the only famous face who has publicly shared their not-so-nice opinions on Taylor's group. Previously, Demi Lovato and "Pretty Little Liars" star Troian Bellisario have also dissed the squad.

In response to many negative comments, Lily Aldrige defended Taylor in an interview earlier this year. "We are a really nice group of women who support each other and really, genuinely have each others' back and it's awesome," said the model. "That's something to be about."
