Celebrity

The 'Watch What Happens Live' host opens up that he had 'a chunk' of his lip removed after being diagnosed with skin cancer.

Andy Cohen opened up on his health scare on national television. The "Watch What Happens Live" host revealed about battling skin cancer when dropping by "Live! with Kelly" to co-host with his good pal Kelly Ripa.

"I have to shout you out for something that you don't know I'm going to shout you out for. I had a black dot on my bottom lip," the Bravo star told Ripa, "and you said, 'You have a black dot on your lip, I don't think that's something good'."

Ripa and her husband repeatedly urged Cohen to see a doctor, but he kept putting it off. When he finally got it checked out, he found out it was a melanoma. "I just want to thank you because you were so dogmatic," he told Ripa.

"The lip heals very well and I really had a chunk removed out of it," he said, adding that "it's all fine." He then urged the audience to get themselves checked out especially if they were "tanorexic" like himself. "I love the sun. I really do, but just be careful," he said.
