With Dafoe's Nuidis Vulko being introduced in 'Justice League', Dafoe says that it will lead into a 'principal' role in the Jason Momoa-led solo movie.

Willem Dafoe's Nuidis Vulko will make his big-screen debut in Zack Snyder's "Justice League" before appearing in "Aquaman". Speaking to The Guardian, the 61-year-old actor reveals that Vulko being introduced in the DC superhero team-up movie will lead into a larger role in the Jason Momoa-led solo flick.
"Well, 'Justice League' is very particular because it's an ensemble movie and my character is being introduced here in order to be a principal role in 'Aquaman'," the Oscar nominee said. "These films are a different experience. They have different responsibilities, different resources and different intentions. It's nice to go between those worlds if you can. They serve different impulses."
Vulko is described as both a friend and foe to the King of Atlantis in the comic book series. It remains to be seen how the Atlantis chief scientific adviser and his relationship with Momoa's Arthur Curry in the big-screen version will differ from the comic books.
"Justice League" is coming to U.S. theaters on November 17, 2017, while "Aquaman" will arrive in the following year on July 27. In addition to Dafoe, Amber Heard will be introduced as Mera in "Justice League" before reprising her role in the James Wan-directed solo movie.
