John Mayer and Demi Lovato sparked dating rumors after they spent their Saturday night, October 22 together. Multiple sources told Us Weekly that the pair looked very close when hanging out at Catch restaurant in West Hollywood.
The two singers arrived separately, but were seen enjoying each other's company inside the eatery. "John had his arm around Demi and was whispering sweet nothings into her ear," an eyewitness told the publication. "She was into it. They weren't making out or anything, but she was giggling the whole time."
Another source said that Mayer and Lovato "chatted it up for over an hour." He even complimented the former Disney darling, telling her she "has one of the greatest voices."
There's no picture showing them chatting inside the restaurant, but they were indeed photographed leaving the eatery later that day. Lovato, who recently dyed her blonde hair back to brown, wore a leopard-print jacket over a black shirt. Meanwhile, the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" hitmaker donner a white T-shirt underneath a flower-print jacket.
Mayer and Lovato have actually been friends and fans of each other's music for years. He praised one her songs on Twitter a few years ago and she later said in an interview that Mayer's songwriting really inspired her. Later, they worked together on her 2009 song "World of Chances".
Mayer and Lovato are both single now. After dating on and off for quite some time, he broke up with Katy Perry last year. Meanwhile, the former "Camp Rock" star split from her longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama last summer.
