Frank Ocean is reportedly ineligible for the 2017 Grammy Awards race. While the 28-year-old singer released two new albums, "Blonde" and "Endless", this year, his return to the Grammys next year will be on hold.
When the Grammy nominees are revealed on December 8, Frank will not be on the list as he did not submit his albums by the September 30 eligibility deadline to be considered for the annual awards show, a source tells Billboard.
While a representative for Frank hasn't commented on the issue yet, a Grammys spokesperson confirmed that his albums had not been submitted for consideration. Initial entries for Grammy consideration were due on August 24.
It's unclear whether Frank's albums were intentionally not submitted for the Grammys or an oversight took place. Last year, Drake's "Hotline Bling" was also not submitted for the Grammys consideration.
"Blonde" debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200 chart with 276,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
Frank's debut studio album "Channel Orange" nabbed three nominations at the 2013 Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, Best New Artist, and Record of the Year. He won Best Urban Contemporary Album.
