Adam Shankman in Talks to Direct 'Enchanted' Sequel
Movie

The follow-up to 2007's 'Enchanted' is expected to start production next summer with Adam Shankman at the helm.

AceShowbiz -

The "Enchanted" sequel has found a new director. Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal") was previously rumored to take the director chair, but Adam Shankman ("Hairspray", "Rock of Ages") is now in negotiations to serve behind the lens instead.

A sequel to 2007's modern-day fairytale adaptation, the second movie titled "Disenchanted" has been in development hell since 2010. No release date has been announced by Disney, but The Hollywood Reporter learns that the Mouse House is eying to start production in summer 2017.

Amy Adams is expected to return as Princess Giselle. The second installment is rumored to take place ten years after Giselle's happily ever after. It's unclear if any other original cast like Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Idina Menzel and Susan Sarandon will reprise their roles as well.
