The British actor lashes out at his overzealous fans, also known as 'Cumberb***hes,' who consider him 'the 'Internet's boyfriend' [who] can't actually belong to anyone else but the Internet.'

AceShowbiz - Benedict Cumberbatch is happily married to Sophie Hunter and is a proud father to their son Christopher "Kit" Carlton. However, not everyone is excited about it. Speaking to Vanity Fair for its November issue, the British actor admits to being annoyed by a lot of his fans who claim his wife and child are just for show.

"There are people who believe that my wife is a P.R. stunt and my child is a P.R. stunt," Cumberbatch tells the magazine. The 40-year-old heartthrob then lashes out at those over-obsessed fans, known in the internetverse as Cumberb***hes, saying that their actions can be considered stalking.

"I think really it's to do with the idea that the 'Internet's boyfriend' can't actually belong to anyone else but the Internet. 'It's impossible he belongs to anyone but me.' And that's what stalking is," he explains. "That's what obsessive, deluded, really scary behavior is."

November cover star Benedict Cumberbatch takes his unlikely sex-symbol status with a grain of salt. I dont look at myself in the mirror and go, Yeah, absolutely! I see what theyre saying! I see all my faults and everything that Ive always seen as my faults. Photograph by @jasonbellphoto.

Cumberbatch got married to Hunter on Valentine's Day in 2015 and welcomed their son in June that year. "Having a baby - it's massive," the "Doctor Strange" actor gushes over his little one in the interview. "And on a very unexpected level. Suddenly I understood my parents much more profoundly than I ever had before."

He also reveals how his son helped him prepare for his "Hamlet" role at London's Babican Centre. "I was expecting, with Hamlet, that it might be a hindrance to be a father, because it's all about being a son," he says. "But it's the opposite. You understand much more about being a son, becoming a father."
