Part of an alleged call sheet for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" which revealed some roles the actors would play had recently surfaced online. One of the actors included in the call sheet was Hannibal Buress, who has now confirmed the report that he will appear as part of the school staff in the upcoming superhero film.

In an interview with "The Breakfast Club" on Tuesday, August 30, Hannibal was asked about the character he would play in the Tom Holland-starring flick. "In 'Spider-Man', I play a gym teacher," the 33-year-old comedian said. "I play one of the dumba** characters that don't realize he's Spider-Man. [My character thinks] 'He's Peter Parker. Oh man, this guy's really athletic!' "

His comment offers authenticity of the call sheet which leaked a few weeks ago and listed Hannibal as Coach Wilson at Midtown Science and Technology School. With Hannibal's confirmation that he will indeed play a gym teacher, it's safe to assume that other roles listed in the call sheet, which include Bokeem Woodbine as the Shocker, are also accurate.

The new "Spider-Man" reboot centers on Peter Parker back to his high-school roots. Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei are set to reprise their roles as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man and May Parker respectively. They are joined by Zendaya Coleman, Donald Glover, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green and Martin Starr in the upcoming film.

Jon Watts is directing "Spider-Man: Homecoming" from a script written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. The upcoming superhero flick is scheduled for a July 7, 2017 release in U.S. theaters.
