After wrapping the filming on 'The Wolverine 3', which marks his final appearance as the clawed mutant, the Australian actor took to Twitter to share a video featuring him shaving off his beard.

Hugh Jackman says his final goodbye to his Marvel character Wolverine a.k.a. Logan by shaving his sideburns. After wrapping the filming on "The Wolverine 3", which marks his final appearance as the clawed mutant, Jackman took to Twitter on Monday, August 22 to share a video featuring him shaving off his beard.
In the 8-second video, the Australian actor can be seen staring into the mirror while using an electric razor to remove his iconic Wolverine mutton chops. "Goodbye," he said. "My wife is going to be very happy," the 47-year-old actor wrote in the caption, adding the hashtags "#GoodbyeChops #TheDebs."

Jackman confirmed his final appearance as the clawed mutant back in May last year. "This will be my last one," he said during medical talk show with Dr. Oz. "It is my last time. It felt like it was the right time to do it. Seventeen years, I never thought in a million years it would last this long," he added.
The third "Wolverine" film also sees the return of Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier a.k.a. Professor X. The 76-year-old actor, who previously hinted at leaving "X-Men" film franchise after appearing in the upcoming film, teased he would portray "a very different Charles Xavier." He noted, "Nothing like the Charles Xavier you've seen in the past."
The film also stars Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant and Elise Neal. Directed by James Mangold from a screenplay written by "Green Lantern" scribe Michael Green, the final Wolverine solo film will be set in the future, where supervillains have taken control over the world. It is scheduled for a March 3, 2017 release in U.S. theaters.
