Starz has unveiled "Ash vs. Evil Dead" season 2 villain. Called Baal, the character portrayed by Joel Tobeck ("Sons of Anarchy", "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King") is strangling Lucy Lawless' Ruby in the newly released image.

According to description of the character, "when Baal is released from the underworld, our team will face an enemy more powerful then then any that have come before. One with bigger plans than just destroying Ash as well as a secret link to Ruby."

Bruce Campbell returns as Ash Williams, with Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo reprising their roles as Ash's sidekicks Pablo and Kelly respectively.

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

It will introduce Michelle Hurd as Ash's former high school sweetheart, Lee Majors as Ash's father Brock Williams, and longtime "Evil Dead" franchise star Ted Raimi as Ash's childhood best friend Chet Kaminski.

The show will return October 2 at 8 P.M. ET on Starz.
