Suge Knight will face against Chris Brown in his next court battle. The jailed rap mogul filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, June 27, accusing Brown and club owners of failing to provide adequate security at an unofficial pre-MTV VMA party hosted by the R&B singer at 1Oak nightclub in 2014 that resulted in him getting shot seven times.

Knight suffered gunshot woulds to the abdomen, chest and left forearm in the shooting. He says in the lawsuit that Brown "was a known gang associate with a history of violence and had a well-documented track record of hosting events (and) parties in which violence frequently erupted." The 51-year-old music producer asserts that 1Oak owners should have screened attendees for firearms.

The Death Row Records co-founder is seeking an unspecified amount of money for past and future medical expenses. Singer Pia Mia, who was co-hosting the party, is also named as defendant in the lawsuit.

Knight, who awaits trials on charges of fatal car crash in 2015 in Compton that left one man dead and another seriously injured, has several times cited complications from his 2014 shooting injuries during court appearances for the pending murder case. His lawyers have also claimed that the shooting left Knight in a fragile state of mind.

It's the second lawsuit filed against Chris Brown in a week. The "Loyal" hitmaker's former manager Michael Guirguis a.k.a. Mike G sued the artist for allegedly "brutally" attacking him before embarking on his European tour in early May.

The manager claimed the singer was in a "drug-fueled" rage when he attacked him in a room and punched him four times in the face and neck-injuries that ultimately led to an emergency room visit. "The assault was unprovoked and, regrettably, just another attack in Brown's long history of violent and abusive behavior," read the suit.
