"Arrow" has tapped Chad L. Coleman as season 5's villain. The actor, who must be familiar to "The Walking Dead" fans since he previously appeared as Tyreese on the hit zombie series, has landed the role of Tobias Church a.k.a. the new big bad.

IGN was the first to break the news. The character, who was previously reported to be called Anton Church, is described as "an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command."

The character is said to be a recurring one and will first appear in the season premiere. The character's descriptions which were revealed earlier this month compared him to Idris Elba's drug kingpin character Stringer Bell on HBO's "The Wire" and Jason Momoa's "Game of Thrones" character Khal Drogo.

Season 5 will also feature the return of Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin), who will create her own alter ego, Artemis. The show is also going to add another actor to play James, an "irrepressibly charming" contemporary of Oliver's who is described as "a man on a mission," out as he is to avenge a tragic, violent loss from his own years ago.

"Arrow" returns with the new season starting Wednesday, October 5 at 8/7c on The CW.
